Cambodia: Kingdom of Wonder

I and my friends are planning an April trip to the land of mystic – Cambodia. None of us had been there so we’ll have to keep our research about things to plan, do, see, eat and what should be noted and avoided. It is a whole new country with ravishing culture so it is expected that tourists should respect whatever is in Cambodia.

The tourism tagline is Kingdom of Wonder. Truly reflects the wonderful and majestic attractions in that country.

Angkor Wat in Cambodia is the largest religious building. It was designed for the devas of the Hindu mythology to represent Mount Meru. Devas are deities or supernatural human beings.

I am personally drawn to the stunning and distinct architecture of the temple – Khmer style. Their architectural styles are very elaborate, richly carved, and lavish. It tells stories of culture and religion embedded into their masterpieces.

We will spend 4 days via Bangkok train to the border. It will be 4 hours of train experience! Wow! Cambodia is northwest of Thailand so we will be proceeding on that direction.

I am now thinking of buying a Nikon digital SLR!

  1. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a
lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home
a bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog. An excellent read.
    I will certainly be back.
